Therapy is about you

You might be carrying more than people realize– old wounds, racing thoughts, the pressure to “have it together,” or just the weight of trying to figure out who you are and where you belong. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or big life transitions, therapy can give you space to breathe, reflect, and heal.

About Me

I didn’t always know I’d be a clinical therapist. In fact, I started out thinking I’d become a physical therapist! I even began logging observation hours at a rehab center for older adults. But here’s the thing—I wasn’t paying much attention to the treatment plans or exercises. What really pulled me in were the conversations. I found myself staying late just to hear people’s stories - about their families, their lives, their struggles, their hopes.

That’s when it clicked: I didn’t just want to help people heal physically; I wanted to support them emotionally and mentally. That moment set me on a new path. A long, winding, incredibly rewarding journey into the world of clinical therapy.

Today, I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, identity questions, relationship challenges, and the beautiful (and sometimes messy) process of growth and change. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by something they can’t quite name. Some are in transition. Some are healing. All of them are showing up, and that matters.

At the center of my work is a therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and authenticity. No pressure to be anything but yourself, just a space where you can feel seen, supported, and safely explore what it means to come home to who you are.

Education & Experience

I’m licensed in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Louisiana, and Vermont. (As my teenage clients go to college in other states, I collect licenses so I can continue seeing them!) I earned my Master’s from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College after completing undergraduate degrees in Human Biology and Literature (yep, I’m a science and story nerd) from Hunter College.

Alongside clinical work in Private Practice, I’ve also gained experience as a:

  • Director of Guidance for a middle and high school, supervising a team and developing school-wide emotional wellness programs

  • Clinician for domestic violence survivors, trauma victims, and more

  • Adjunct Professor, teaching future therapists how to think critically and connect deeply

  • Group facilitator, creating spaces for teens and adults to process, share, and grow

I’ve also presented at professional development days, created clinical curriculums, and supervised up-and-coming social workers.

And before all that? I was a substitute teacher and a Crisis Text Line counselor, talking to hundreds of people in crisis—learning how to hold space, listen closely, and respond with empathy and skill.

My Integrative Approach

I work with you using an integrative, trauma-informed approach. Here's how I blend different modalities to support your growth and healing:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – We’ll look at the patterns in your thinking that may be fueling anxiety, shame, or self-doubt, and work on reframing them in ways that feel more supportive.

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) – You’ll learn practical tools for navigating intense emotions, managing overwhelm, setting boundaries, and staying grounded—even when things feel chaotic.

  • IFS (Internal Family Systems) – If you feel like different parts of you are at odds—like one part wants to move forward and another is stuck or scared—IFS helps you make peace with those inner voices and reconnect with your core Self.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy – We’ll explore how your early relationships and past experiences may still be shaping how you see yourself, others, and the world—and how to gently shift those patterns.

At the heart of it all will be our therapeutic relationship built on empathy, authenticity, and zero judgment. You don’t have to perform here. I’m here to walk with you—curious about your story, respectful of your pace, and rooting for you every step of the way.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

You can expect sessions that feel honest, collaborative, and human. I’m not a blank slate therapist—I’ll bring my full self into the room, and I’ll invite you to do the same. Therapy with me means real talk, real reflection, and real support. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to show up— and I’ll meet you there.

CURIOUS TO LEARN MORE?

We’ll get curious about what’s going on beneath the surface— the patterns, the stuck places, and the parts of you that are ready for something different. This isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and creating space to figure things out together.
